Oh my word. Somehow, another 5 years have gone by and here I am on the brink of taking another gloriously long trip- thanks to PayPal for continuing this fabulous benefit.
Last time, we sailed across the Pacific, through the South Pacific, and into Australia and New Zealand.
This time, we're sailing across the Atlantic, into the Mediterranean, and into Greece.
While it is true that I waited 5 years for my second sabbatical, it is also true that I waited for what felt like an entire lifetime of the 2 years of COVID waiting to see if it would ruin any hopes of actually taking this trip. We're in what seems to be the ending stages of the Delta variant and things are looking good. But the COVID years have made me skeptical. There are still 2 weeks until we step onto the boat and it's a bit agonizing. Will it sail? Will we manage to test negative before boarding? I don't need this kind of stress hanging over my otherwise joyous self!!
